Gryphon Scientific Supports COVID-19 Outbreak Response

Gryphon Scientific has been called on by clients from state and local governments and the federal government, including the Department of Homeland Security, Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response and National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, to support the government’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak. We bring our hallmark deep scientific expertise and rigorous, evidence-based approach to understanding and communicating risk to this work.

One important facet of this work involves developing tailored risk communication materials to support emergency response, training and worker safety throughout the response. Dr. Margaret Rush recently gave a presentation on COVID-19 biology and ways to minimize disease transmission risks at the “Protecting Infectious Disease Responders During the COVID-19 Outbreak” meeting hosted by the Emory Woodruff Health Sciences Center and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences Worker Training Program. Dr. Rush’s presentation and our one-page information sheet about how to make your workspace “biosafe” are freely available below.
