Helene Machado

Helene Machado is a senior technical specialist, with more than 25 years’ experience in health policy research primarily analyzing Medicare claims and survey data as both a research analyst and statistical programmer. At Gryphon, she is using her programming skills to examine utilization and expenditures of health services and medications for persons diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Specific areas of interest include disease-modifying therapies, telehealth services, home health care, rehabilitation services, and complementary alternative medicine. Helene holds a BS in Economics from Northeastern University.

Helene works remotely from the Boston area and has been a Boston Red Sox weekend season ticket holder since 1991. That means she’s warmed the seats at Fenway during all the years the Sox have won World Series pennants since the Curse of the Bambino was broken in 2004.
