CBRNE and Contagious Disease Modeling
Gryphon bases all of its mathematical models on data found in the scientific literature. All of our models of contagious disease or CBRN release and spread are founded on the characteristics of the agent, including infectious dose, stability, decay rate, and disease manifestations. In-depth understanding of the agent leads to the generation of accurate models that can best represent the consequences of a CBRN or contagious agent release.
CBRNE and Medical Response Planning
We use mathematical modeling to guide the design of countermeasure distribution systems in case of a CBRNE incident. In addition, we also support programmatic planning, research, and analysis for CBRNE and IND response programs.

Literature Analysis
To analyze the state of theory or practice in a given field, Gryphon’s staff of life scientists performs in-depth scientific literature reviews to locate all information relevant to the client, including studies published in foreign languages such as Russian, Spanish and French. Systems Design
For clients such as DHS and NRL, we develop the technical requirements for CBRN systems, such as biological detectors. We use literature analysis and mathematical modeling to establish device or software performance parameters required for optimal function, such as level of detection, acceptable false positive/negative rate, and allowable time per test.
Systems Evaluation & Implementation
Gryphon has a long track-record assisting DHS and DoD in determining whether CBRN detection systems will meet their goals. We have established system requirements to identify suitable technologies, determined the feasibility of possible signals, evaluated performance characteristics, and designed ConOps for the use of detection systems by state, local, and private-sector operators.
