Gryphon Scientific is a woman-owned, small business driven by the mission to contribute to knowledge and practice in health and homeland security. Our goal is to help build a healthier, safer, more secure society.
The two principals of Gryphon Scientific, Rocco Casagrande and Joan Mullen, have a combined total of nearly 40 years of experience in various research settings. (For biographical sketches, click on Contact Us.) Reflecting their interests, Gryphon Scientific has two divisions:
- The Gryphon Scientific Analysis
Group. Composed largely of biologists with
interests in science policy, this group focuses on
providing analytic support to address a variety of
science and technology policy issues with a special
interest in the application of life science to problems
of health and homeland security. As subject matter
experts, the group also adds domain knowledge to many of
the activities of the second division, the Gryphon
Collaborative.
- The Gryphon Scientific Collaborative is a network or virtual organization of small business partners and independent consultants that allows us to offer full-service capabilities. Among the services represented in the collaborative are survey research, social marketing, security services, training, and bioinformatics. With this collaborative, we provide the power of a large organization while still maintaining the personal attention, responsiveness, and commitment of a small business.
